7. Orders & Contract Formation

7.1. No binding agreement exists until:

  • Payment has been received in full; and

  • Order acceptance has been confirmed by Teknifi.

7.2. Teknifi operates on a first-paid, first-processed basis.

7.3. Customers warrant that they are legally capable of entering into binding agreements.


8. Payment Methods

8.1. Payments may be made via:

  • EFT (proof of payment required)

  • Instant EFT

  • Online card payment

8.2. Orders will not be processed until funds have cleared.


9. Delivery, Installation & Risk

9.1. Delivery and installation timelines are estimates only.

9.2. Risk in goods passes to the customer upon delivery, collection, or handover to a third-party courier appointed by the customer.

9.3. Teknifi shall not be liable for delays caused by couriers, suppliers, or events beyond our control.

9.4. Customers must inspect goods upon delivery and report visible damage immediately.


10. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

10.1. Nothing in this section limits any rights afforded to customers under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

10.2. Returns may be considered within 7 business days from date of receipt, provided that the goods are:

  • Unused;

  • Unopened;

  • In their original, undamaged packaging; and

  • In a resaleable condition.

10.3. Goods that have been opened, used, installed, configured, or where the original packaging is damaged, missing, defaced, or not in a resaleable condition, may still be accepted for return at Teknifi’s sole discretion, subject to a mandatory 25% handling and restocking fee, which shall be deducted from any refund due.

10.4. The 25% handling and restocking fee is intended to cover inspection, testing, repackaging, administration, and restocking costs incurred by Teknifi.

10.5. Custom-built items, configured systems, special-order products, software, licences, digital goods, installations, labour, call-out fees, and services are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.

10.6. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defect as required by the CPA.

10.7. Goods returned that are damaged, incomplete, altered, tampered with, missing components or accessories, or not in their original condition beyond reasonable inspection shall not qualify for any refund or exchange under any circumstances, unless otherwise required by the Consumer Protection Act. Such goods may be rejected and returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

10.8. Approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable period after inspection and acceptance of the returned goods.


11. Warranties

11.1. Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant.

11.2. Teknifi provides no warranty beyond those required by law unless expressly stated in writing.

11.3. Warranties do not cover:

  • Physical damage

  • Incorrect installation

  • Power surges or lightning

  • Wear and tear

  • Misuse or negligence

11.4. Software, data, and configuration are provided as-is with no warranty.


12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teknifi shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Errors or omissions on the website

12.2. Teknifi’s maximum liability shall never exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service.

RETURNS POLICY

Returns Policy

This Returns Policy applies to all products and services purchased from Teknifi via our website, quotations, invoices, or any other sales channels. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.


1. General Principles

1.1. Teknifi aims to provide high-quality products and professional services. Due to the technical nature of our products and installations, returns are handled strictly and fairly.

1.2. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.


2. Eligibility for Returns

2.1. Returns may be requested within 7 (seven) business days from the date of delivery or collection, subject to the conditions below.

2.2. To qualify for a return without penalties, goods must be:

  • Unused;

  • Unopened;

  • In their original, undamaged packaging;

  • Complete with all accessories, manuals, and components; and

  • In a resaleable condition.

2.3. Proof of purchase is required for all return requests.


3. Opened or Damaged Packaging – Handling & Restocking Fee

3.1. Goods that have been opened, handled, tested, or where the original packaging is damaged, missing, defaced, or not in a resaleable condition, may be accepted for return at Teknifi’s sole discretion.

3.2. If such a return is approved, a mandatory 25% handling and restocking fee will apply.

3.3. Returns subject to the 25% handling and restocking fee will NOT be refunded in cash or via the original payment method.

3.4. Instead, the approved refund amount (after deduction of the 25% handling and restocking fee) will be issued in the form of a Teknifi store coupon / credit voucher.

3.5. The issued coupon:

  • Is valid for 2 (two) months from the date of issue;

  • Is non-transferable;

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • May only be redeemed for products or services offered by Teknifi.


4. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable, unless otherwise required by the CPA:

  • Goods that are damaged, incomplete, altered, tampered with, or missing parts or accessories;

  • Installed, mounted, configured, programmed, or commissioned products;

  • Custom-built, special-order, or made-to-order items;

  • Software, licences, digital products, subscriptions, and downloadable content;

  • Labour, installation fees, call-out fees, diagnostics, and services rendered;

  • Clearance, promotional, or discounted items marked as non-returnable.


5. Defective Goods

5.1. Defective goods will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty and the CPA.

5.2. Teknifi may, at its discretion and where legally permitted:

  • Repair the product;

  • Replace the product; or

  • Issue a refund or store credit.

5.3. Physical damage, misuse, power surges, water damage, incorrect installation by third parties, or normal wear and tear do not qualify as defects.


6. Return Process

6.1. All return requests must be submitted in writing to Teknifi with proof of purchase.

6.2. Goods returned without prior approval may be refused.

6.3. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is required by law due to a verified defect.

6.4. Returned goods are subject to inspection before any return, credit, or coupon is issued.


7. Inspection & Rejection

7.1. Teknifi reserves the right to inspect all returned goods.

7.2. If goods do not meet the requirements of this policy, they may be rejected and returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.


8. Policy Changes

8.1. Teknifi reserves the right to amend this Returns Policy at any time without prior notice.
